The Race

On Sunday, April 27th, over 25,000 runners will take part in America's fastest growing race, the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon. It's more than a race, it’s the ultimate Brooklyn experience. From hip and historic neighborhoods to world-class riverfront views to the energy created by the city’s most bustling borough, it’s pure Brooklyn.

Launched in 2011 as the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Marathon with a few hundred runners in Prospect Park, the half marathon was added in 2018. In 2023, the event became a standalone half marathon, selling out last year with a record 21,726 finishers.

The Runner Experience

The race is USATF-certified with all the amenities you would expect from one of the nation's largest races. Our enhanced Start experience will make race morning a breeze. The course includes hydration stations, bathrooms, and medical support. We'll replenish you at the Finish with food and drinks, including Brooklyn's best bagel, before you reconnect with family and friends in the post-race Festival Area.

The race swag's great too. You'll receive the official race shirt as well as a super cool and well-earned Finisher's Medal.
