The Race
Picture this: It’s April 25, 2027. You’re lined up in Williamsburg alongside 30,000+ runners, ready to chase your next 13.1 goal. Brooklyn buzzes at the start, and suddenly you’re flying up Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint. That’s only the beginning of the Brooklyn Experience.
Take on one of Brooklyn’s most scenic courses. Cruise past the Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn Bridges, feed off the energy of Downtown Brooklyn, and power on towards your Prospect Park Finish.
Running 13.1 miles takes work. Signing up? That part’s easy.
The History
Launched in 2011 as the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Marathon in Prospect Park with a few hundred finishers, the half marathon was added to the event in 2018. In 2022, both distances stretched across the borough with a new start in North Brooklyn, before becoming a standalone half marathon in 2023. In 2026, an event record 28,052 runners finished the race, making it the third largest half marathon and the fastest growing race in the nation.
The Experience
The USATF-certified race comes with an amazing Brooklyn vibe to go with all the amenities you would expect from one of the nation's largest races.
Our enhanced Start experience will make race morning a breeze. The course includes plenty of hydration stations, bathrooms, medical support, and cheering crowds. We'll replenish you at the Finish with tasty food and thirst-quenching drinks, including Brooklyn's best bagel, before you reconnect with family and friends in the post-race Festival Area.
The race swag's great too. You'll receive the official participant shirt as well as a bridge series collector's edition Finisher Medal.
