Can I Withdraw From The Race And Get A Refund?

NYCRUNS has a no-refunds and no-transfers policy, but NYCRUNS members can withdraw from races for race credit. See more details here.

I Can't Run The Race, So Can I Give My Bib To Someone Else To Use?

As per NYCRUNS policy and for the safety of all runners, only you can run with the bib that's assigned to you. Bib transfers are strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification.

Where Do I Go On Race Day?

On race morning, you’ll go to the Start Area Entrance at North 12th Street and Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg. Visit the START section for more details.

What Time Should I Arrive On Race Morning?

Each Wave Start has a specific arrival time window. Check your NYCRUNS Dashboard under Upcoming Races for your Wave assignment and visit the START section for more details on your arrival time.

Are Wheelchair and Handcycle Athletes Welcome At The Event?

Yes. Registered Handcycle and Wheelchair athletes will be contacted 2-3 weeks prior to the race regarding arrival details for the Start Area.

How Do I Get My Bib And Shirt?

If you’re not receiving them in the mail, you’ll pick up your bib and official participant shirt prior to race day at the pre-race Expo. Visit the EXPO section for more details.  

What Items Are Prohibited To Bring To The Race?

No bags, backpacks, portable speakers, or weighted vests will be allowed through security. Weapons of any kind, flammable liquids, fireworks, toxic chemicals, glass containers, alcoholic beverages, illegal substances, or any other items that are deemed hazardous or dangerous to runners, spectators, or event staff are strictly prohibited and will be confiscated.

Can I Run With A Hydration Vest or Fuel Belts?

You can run with a hydration vest and/or fuel belt with water containers of 1 liter or less. Hydration vests can only be used with water stored in the front pockets/holders and not with a rear bladder. 

Can I Run With Earbuds or Headphones?

Earpieces and headphones are permitted; however, we recommend you use those devices with care. You must be always alert to your surroundings and will need to hear important announcements made at the start, on the course, and at the finish. Please familiarize yourself with our complete RULES OF COMPETITION.

Can I Run In A Costume?

If you want to run in a costume, please adhere to our rules which limit athletes to form fitting outfits only. Masks and other face coverings are prohibited, as are bulky costumes, capes, and handheld props. Please familiarize yourself with our complete RULES OF COMPETITION.

Is There A Phone Number To Call On Race Day If There's An Emergency?

Yes. If you or someone else needs immediate assistance, call (646) 290-5353. This number is also on the front of your bib.

Can I Get Photos Of Me Running The Race?

Yes. You’ll receive an email in the days after the race from MarathonFoto with details on how to claim your complimentary Finish Line photo and other options. Visit the FINISH section for more photo details.

Why Do I Need to Create An Account For the App?

After downloading the app, take a moment to set up your runner account (separate from your NYCRUNS account). This lets you claim your profile, manage privacy settings, and make sure you get important event updates.

Where Can I Find Details About Race Day Street Closures?

Information about street closures will be available closer to race day in the COMMUNITY IMPACT section.
